Once upon a time…
In the German version of Cinderella, where she is referred to as Aeschenputtel, there is a magical hazel tree that grows swiftly out of the ground after Aeschenputtel's tears hit her mother’s grave. Rather than a traditional fairy godmother, the hazel tree is what provides her with her eyecatching ballgown and slippers. This is what first caught my eye when I set out to create Once Upon A Time. The warm and nutty notes of hazelnut that lend themselves perfectly to the sweet flavor of French vanilla creme {my nod to the French version of Cinderella, “The Little Glass Slipper”}, blending perfectly with Ceylon black tea.
