In the time period of Beauty and the Beast, hot chocolate or chocolat chaud was a luscious confection enjoyed especially by the nobility. Marie Antoinette herself was said to have employed a personal chocolate maker to create new recipes combining chocolate with Orange blossom or sweet almonds.
It wasn’t hard to imagine that the Beast, disgraced noble that he was, may have had at the very least an inventive pâtissière in his employ. One who would have seen the blooming roses in the palace garden and thought to include the fresh blooms in a chocolatey infusion. This is exactly what I had in mind when I waved my magic wand and created this blend, I have even added freshly picked strawberries {straight from the palace garden I might I add} to further highlight the sweet floral notes of the roses.
It is sweet, decadent, and everything you need to transport you to the Beasts palace grounds, where everything you could ever want is at your fingertips.
